"The process of creating a collage is unique to every collage artist. The materials they use are equally distinctive. I use primarily mulberry handmade papers for my collages, but I also incorporate lokta, hanji, and many other natural papers. Depending on the work, the piece can also include dried materials such as flowers. Most often these flowers are deconstructed, cut, and pieced together to make another vision of a flower. My favorite dried materials are Angel Wings petals. Their translucent quality add an ethereal look to each piece.
I am always experimenting with new materials and methods, because each piece requires me rethink the process and techniques."
"For me, the most exciting part about starting a new piece is the problem solving aspect of discovering, choosing the right materials, and creating techniques that will make my vision come to life."

A glimpse into the creation of one my early works. The work was inspired by the painting, "Bouquet of Flowers in a Vase" by Vincent van Gogh.
